Vesta Completes Two Facility Expansion Projects

FRANKLIN, WI, August 23, 2010 — Vesta, an industry leading contract manufacturer for medical device components and finished device assembly has announced the completion of two significant facility infrastructure investments to support its business growth requirements and expand its service offerings for its customer base. Vesta is proud to announce the completion of its 50,000 square foot expansion of its Franklin, WI manufacturing plant, focused exclusively on the manufacturing and assembly services of silicone based medical device components. The expansion has doubled Vesta’s manufacturing space, and will support several service line expansions, including Vesta Innovations, a new service offering designed to support early stage product development for medical device OEM’s.

Along with the investment in its silicone based manufacturing operations, Vesta has also announced the consolidation of its thermoplastic extrusion facilities in Placentia and Temecula, CA into a brand new, state of the art manufacturing facility in Corona, CA. Vesta’s new thermoplastic facility will support the production operations for the Extrumed business, which Vesta acquired in March of 2009. The facility investment includes the establishment of several new service line offerings including PEEK extrusion capabilities, balloon blowing services and braiding for thermoplastic extrusions.

Both facilities continue to operate with their ISO 13485:2003 registration, and remain exclusively focused on supporting the manufacturing needs of medical device manufacturers worldwide.
